Marcel the Shell

I read an article with Jenny Slater in Bust magazine and she talked about the devastation she experienced when Saturday Night Life did not renew her contract. She quickly rose from the ashes with a sweet little character she created named Marcel. Marcel is more commonly known as Marcel the Shell with Shoes On. With some encouragement she wrote a book and  then with her boyfriend created a short stop-action film. It is the sweetest thing ever and it makes you want to squee with joy and give wee Marcel a big hug.
